This is a very pared-down version of the post I used to do. I used to have lots of fun looking for a lot of calendar options for lots of different people/rooms (the kids’ rooms, the kitchen, next to my computer; also gifts for various people). Then that stopped being fun for unknowable reasons, and the kids lost interest and I started needing only one calendar just for my kitchen (perhaps these were the unknowable reasons), so I decided to stop doing the calendar post entirely—i.e., no calendar post at all, because who wants to just look at only the calendars I’M considering for MY KITCHEN? Then I started doing a post of just the calendars I’m considering for my kitchen. And now there’s been another step down, and this post is basically “Which of the calendars I’ve bought in previous years for my kitchen will I buy again this year for my kitchen?” Onward:
Feline: Terry Runyan cat calendar. I’ve had this one either once or twice before. I liked it and might very well buy it again.
Esté MacLeod calendar. I’ve had this one either once or twice before. I liked it and might very well buy it again.
Kate Heiss wall calendar. I had this one in 2025. I liked it and might very well buy it again—except that I feel a resistance to having the same calendar two years in a row. But I still want to put it into my cart and think about it.
The Illustrated Animal Kingdom calendar. The main thing that stops me from buying this very satisfying calendar a second time is that I can’t tell if this is maybe the exact same set of pictures I had last time. It’s certainly the exact same cover. (I just compared notes, and I can’t say for sure because the one I had in 2024 only shows ten of the pages on the back—but eight of the ten from 2024 are duplicated on the 2026 calendar.) Also: my grocery store has this calendar for $9.99, so I am not sure where Amaz0n gets off selling it for $19.73. Being able to buy it from my grocery store instead of from Amaz0n is a point in its favor.
Joyful Landscapes calendar. I keep adding this to my cart each year, then feeling funny about it and removing it. Theoretically it’s what I like, but. I guess it feels as if it is trying too hard to be what people like me would like.
Colorful Landscapes calendar. Same deal as with Joyful. I keep thinking “Oh, this is extremely my thing!,” and then having second thoughts. I guess I must feel seen but in a bad way.
William Morris calendar. Basically wallpapers. I have had several such calendars and they have all been surprisingly satisfying and peaceful.
Flora & Fauna calendar. I mean, basically that is what I want. Flora. And/or fauna.
GuassLee cat calendar. I have not had this calendar before. But I do have this cat.
(If you want to be calendar twins with me this coming year: I published this post, and then proof-read it and tested all the links, and while doing so decided on the Esté MacLeod.)

I always look forward to your calendar posts, and I invariably choose one of the ones you consider. I guess you are my ultimate arbiter of calendar taste!
Came here to say this!! I love your calendar posts and I always end up buying one for my sisters and myself.
Thank you for doing them all these years.
I had a Nathalie Lété (I think that’s how you spell it?) calendar a couple years ago that was in one of your annual calendar posts, and it was my favorite calendar I’ve ever had. She’s done other calendars since then, but they haven’t been as good. I wonder if she did one this year, and if it’s better. I’ll have to investigate.
I usually go for a scenery calendar of somewhere I’m going, or somewhere I’ve visited within 12 months of the calendar.
But last year, I decided to have a change and bought one with tropical beaches (never been to one, have very little interest in going to one – not to throw shade upon those who love them – just not my thing). Well, it Did Not Work for me.
But then, this year, the SPCA has a cat calendar fundraiser, so I have kittehs for the kitchen in 2026.
I look forward to your calendar posts and always think of you/them when I am choosing my own! This year I got to pick four: one for the kitchen, one for my desk, and two mini ones for my older daughters’ stockings. I typically go with travel photography for one or both of mine; the girls got adorable puppies/kitties and Van Gogh (budding artist).
I loved the calendar posts of yesterday-year!
I’m going with this – Japanese Art for 2026: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0F9PK499Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Just ordered this one for my wall office calendar, thank yoooou. (I have a vendor freebie desk blotter style calendar that does the work; this one’s job will just be to hang on the wall and look pretty!)
Those Joyful and Colourful landscapes also look perfect to me, which makes me feel, yet again, like we should be neighbours and IRL friends! But I feel that way often, reading your posts. xo
Great… The Este MacLeod was my favorite of the ones you posted!
Thank you for the post! I buy one for my kitchen each year but am strangely committed to purchasing it at my local book shop so I only get to choose what they have. It’s always an exciting moment when one of your picks shows up IRL!
Oh, that is a FUN QUEST. This makes me want you to secretly tell me what’s at your book store, and then I’ll see if anything from there is something I’d choose—because my guess is there are a TON I’d choose!
Last year I got the We Rate Dogs wall calendar. This year I’m getting the Knuckle Bump Farms calendar (https://knucklebumpfarms.com/products/knuckle-bump-crew-2026-calendar). I follow KBF on the socials and I’m looking forward to seeing all my favorites in my kitchen.
If I hadn’t already ordered the KBF calendar, I’d be tempted by the Gauss Lee calendar.
This is the one I had in 2025, and it was delightful. I may re-buy, but I am also resistant to repeating. https://selynnlee.com/products/2026-babushcats-wall-calendar-coming-soon
I bought this one awhile ago at a bookstore, and it may be one for my office.

I love your calendar posts!
I look forward to this post every year even though I never use a calendar! You always consider such fun and soothing choices.
The Esté MacLeod one brings to mind the kind of art my mom liked. She isn’t around anymore, but I’m gonna get it to remind me of her, with the added perk of being calendar buddies with you.
I wish I’d seen this before I bought my calendar. Had to do it on an order over $35 because we don’t have Prime. I went with one listed here! Colorful Landscapes calendar. But I don’t like it. I liked it when I saw it online, obviously since I bought it. I liked that the pictures matched the seasons. But looking at it in person it just seems off and I’m disappointed. I almost bought the Joyful one but didn’t like that it didn’t line up seasonaly. I also almost got the cat one mentioned but it was the one next to it in that same listing. A cat doing stuff in a house each month. I wish I’d gone with that one. I’m also very tempted by the first two mentioned. But do I just abandon the one I paid for already and I even wrote a Jan appointment on it so I can’t even regift it now. Ugh. But I also mostly hate it and would like a kitchen calendar that I enjoy.
Looking at the calendar I bought again, I think it is AI and that’s why it’s giving me a weird vibe. I checked the reviews and one other person said it’s AI. The images are kind of blurry sometimes and when there’s text on one building it’s not real text. I think it’s smart to stick to calendars where the artist is named, like the Kate Heiss Wall Calendar or Esté MacLeod’.
Sometimes I do a photo calendar – lately it’s been of photos from a trip to the UK – but this year I did not.
I had something similar happen one year. I bought a calendar I thought I’d love, and about a week into January I realized I didn’t like it at all. What I did was buy a new calendar on clearance at the mall—I don’t know if they still do that, but they used to have a big kiosky thing for just calendars, and in January they were either 50% off or maybe even 75% off. That was how I justified it to myself: a combination of “my calendar happiness for a FULL YEAR is worth accidentally wasting $15 ONE SINGLE TIME” + “and anyway, I only spent $7.50 [or $3.25, or whatever it was] on the new one.”
That is smart. I’ve been mall walking and there is a calendar kiosk in the mall. I already decided that I hated the one I bought so much that I have ordered the Kate Heiss wall calender instead! I definitely am feeling that I want a calendar that makes me happy, since I see it every day in the kitchen. I’m usually super frugal but am willing to splash out another $15 on a calendar that will make me happy. The Kate Heiss wall calendar gets bonus points for being British and a couple of pages remind me of locations near my childhood home. My Mum is now considering buying herself the same one so we can calendar twin. :) The Esté MacLeod one was my second choice. I have now learnt that I need to order one with the artist in the title!
I love the look of these calendars. But I always end up going for practicality and get a large-ish calendar with enough writing space for all the things.
Another big thank you for your calendar posts over the years – they helped me more than once!
I got a Nature’s Dick Pics calendar this year. (Like, cacti and rock formations that looks like penises.) Sigh. The joy of having teen/pre-teen boys. They think it’s hilarious, and i guess im willing to let them have it this one year, before going back to choosing whatever I want with no input from anyone else.
