Baby Boy Obee-with-an-S, Brother to Parker Elizabeth and Reese Marie Eve

Hello-
We are 17 weeks pregnant with our third child and ITS A BOY.
We have two daughters Parker Elizabeth and Reese Marie Eve
Our last name rhymes with Obee (o-bee) and starts with an S.

We are 99.9% sure we will be using James as a middle name.
Names we like Connor, Landon, Cooper
(We LOVED Decker but it’s too close to Parker so it’s off the table 🙁).

Looking for help!!!

Thank you,
Sara

The name Decker made me think of the name Deacon: similar in sound, but loses the similarity to Parker. Parker, Reese, and Deacon.

Or Declan. Parker, Reese, and Declan.

More possibilities:

Beckett; Parker, Reese, and Beckett
Brecken; Parker, Reese, and Brecken
Broderick; Parker, Reese, and Broderick
Caden; Parker, Reese, and Caden
Elliot; Parker, Reese, and Elliot
Finian; Parker, Reese, and Finian
Griffin; Parker, Reese, and Griffin
Hayden; Parker, Reese, and Hayden
Ian; Parker, Reese, and Ian
Keaton; Parker, Reese, and Keaton
Kellen; Parker, Reese, and Kellen
Kieran; Parker, Reese, and Kieran
Lennon; Parker, Reese, and Lennon
Lincoln; Parker, Reese, and Lincoln
Thompson; Parker, Reese, and Thompson
Wilson; Parker, Reese, and Wilson

I don’t love the way the -son names sound with the surname, but I do like those names in the sibling group, and also I got to the end of my list and had nothing after the L-names! I don’t know why the list had nothing from the second half of the alphabet, but I was motivated to put SOMETHING from M-Z in there.

I also like Landon and Connor from your list.

My favorite from your list is Landon! Parker, Reese, and Landon. I like that everyone would have a unique initial, ending sound, and overall “feel” of the name (almost no repeated sounds). Congrats!

I really like Keaton and Lincoln for you from Swistle’s list.

    Canaan
    Carson
    Truman
    Dallas
    Brooks
    Gable
Sullivan (you seem to like shorter but Sully or Van is a cool nickname)

Maybe Donovan could work well too? Although it’s definitely not the most important criterium when choosing a name, I really like how a 3-syllable name nicely flows with 2- and 1-syllable names of the girls:
Parker, Reese & Donovan, Donovan James Obee
Or maybe Anderson (nn Andy or Sonny)?
Anderon James Obee; Parker, Reese & Anderson
But from your list, I like Landon best too, and also Swistle’s suggestions of Beckett (nn Beck) and Keaton.

Griffin James would work very nicely for you, I think . I also like Landon and Connor.

Instead of Finnian, how about Finnegan? Otter suggestions: Jude, Grant and Reid.

I was going to suggest Graham, but I think I like Grant even better. I’d also suggest Rowan. I like Swistle’s suggestion of Declan for you also.

I like all the names on your list but Landon is my favorite. Griffin is my favorite of Swistle’s suggestions. My own son’s name is Fordon, and I offer it up as a good match for Parker and Reese.

Decker made me think of Declan too. And Dean. Dean James Obee.

Connor, Landon and Cooper made me think of Malcom. Parker, Reese and Malcom. Malcom James.

Parker, Reese and Decker all have a strong r sound. But it is hard to find another strong r without either repeting a first intial or ending in -er. The only names I could think of were:

    — Wright. Wright James Obee. Parker, Reese and Wright
    — Briggs. Briggs James Obee. Parker, Reese and Briggs.

And Briggs reminds me of Bingham, nn Bing. Parker, Reese and Bingham. Bingham James Obee.

Congratulations on your new little one!

My maiden name is Dean and I’ve always loved it for a first name but my husband isn’t sold (plus James is my dads name and both girls have my side of the family middle names) so I guess I need to share:)

Oh my god, we are the same person! My oldest daughter is Parker, my first choice for my younger daughter was Reese (my husband nixed it because he doesn’t like names that are too associated with one famous person, we went with Zoe), and our boy name was Declan! (never had a third though) Use the name Declan!! We were going to use the nickname Dex :)

I just had to comment, my first daughter is Parker May and my 2nd is Reeve Amy Rose (almost Reese!), I also found it interesting that your firstborn has one middle name and your 2nd has 2, the same as mine.
Anyway, no more children for us, but here’s some boy names that were in the running: Davis, Riley, Harvey, Asher, Aven, August, Blake, Brighton, Chester, Chase, Colby, Dale, Darby, Edward, Emeric, Emerson, Emre, Everett, Forest, Gray, Joey, Jarrah, Jesse, Larkin, Lennon, Quincy, Rafferty, River, Rush, Seren, Slade, Tate, Whittaker, Zephyr.
OK, not all those would have been in the running, I’m sure hubby would have vetoed a lot of them, but it was fun looking back through my list! All the best!

I do NOT think that Parker and Deacon are “dog names” but they happen to be the names of two of our dogs (We specifically have given all of our animals people-like names). So I am a little biased, but I think that Parker and Deacon really compliment each other well. We had a Deacon (boy) before we brought home Parker (girl) and have been told by strangers at the dog park that they sound like a human sibling set that was well thought out. So… take that for what its worth.
